Job Description

Material Handler

  • 7am•330pm; Mon•
Fri Pay:
Starts at $18 per hour. Will get an increase once temporary period is completed Overview Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and shipment of materials to ensure smooth supply chain flow. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us meet production demands, maintain safety standards, and support overall warehouse excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, operate various tools, and contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment. Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and track orders Assist with order picking processes using pickers and other warehouse technology to fulfill customer orders efficiently Handle shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and preparing items for dispatch Load and unload trucks with precision, ensuring proper placement of materials in designated storage areas or staging zones Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment to promote safety and operational efficiency Support inventory management activities through regular cycle counts and stock replenishment efforts Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles with a focus on materials handling Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks; certification preferred Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues when needed Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is highly desirable Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities Construction or shipping & receiving background can be advantageous for understanding complex logistics workflows This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a vibrant warehouse setting.
