Material Handler

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team! Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and pickers to meet shipping deadlines. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, crane systems, clamp trucks, and load & unload machinery to move materials efficiently. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper materials handling techniques and by updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA standards and report any hazards or mechanical issues promptly. Support warehouse supervision by adhering to operational procedures for heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing storage areas for optimal space utilization. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environment with a strong understanding of materials handling. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking processes. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or construction environments is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Warehouse experience combined with supervisory knowledge or previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities. $24.31 - $29.28 per hour
