In this role, you will be responsible for the timely shipment of all customer orders through interaction with all departments. Ensure that all shipments are labeled and packaged securely with accurate documentation and processed through the appropriate freight carriers. When not shipping, assist with picking of parts to ship or assembling small kits that go with finished products. May assist with other light assembly or general tasks as needed. Notify purchasing and others when supplies and/or parts are getting low or are depleted completely. Responsibilities 1. Collect components of customer orders together for shipment. 2. Ensure all customer order commitments are met through interaction with all necessary departments/personnel. 3. Maintain current status on all orders and communicate priorities/shortages to appropriate departments. 4. Develop daily ship plans against weekly schedules and ship commitments. 5. Package all orders for shipment and process through appropriate freight carriers. 6. Maintain shipping supplies and report weekly requirements 7. Maintain shipping documentation that accompanies orders. 8. Provide support whenever necessary to stockroom or electronic assembly coworkers, 9. Recommend quality and efficiency improvements to scheduling, packaging and inventory processes routinely. 10. Assist Materials Manager with special projects. 11. Assist production with product assembly, testing, packaging, etc. 12. Receive incoming deliveries, vendors and other visitors each day. a. Use inventory management software regularly
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
