Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description The general production worker plays a vital role in the final stages of the manufacturing process by ensuring that finished goods meet quality standards and are correctly sorted, labeled, and packaged according to customer specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who maintains a safe, efficient, and clean workspace while supporting overall production goals across multiple shifts. Responsibilities Perform the final stages of the manufacturing process by inspecting finished goods to ensure they meet established quality standards. Accurately sort, label, and package products according to customer specifications and internal guidelines. Use a tape measure with precision, including measurements up to 1/32 of an inch, to verify product dimensions and tolerances. Conduct visual and manual inspections of products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or nonconforming materials. Follow standard operating procedures and production instructions to maintain consistency and efficiency in daily tasks. Support general production activities, including material handling, basic assembly, and staging of products for shipment as needed. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with company safety and housekeeping standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve issues that may affect quality or output. Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems promptly to ensure timely resolution. Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment as required. Essential Skills Demonstrated attention to detail in a production, general labor, or warehouse environment. Ability to use a tape measure accurately, including reading measurements up to 1/32 of an inch. Solid mechanical aptitude to understand basic production processes and equipment operation. Capability to perform inspection and packaging tasks with accuracy and consistency. Experience in general production, general labor, or similar hands-on roles. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace by following safety and operational procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in inspection and packaging within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Familiarity with general production workflows and basic material handling. Ability to work effectively on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as assigned. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with production team members and supervisors. Willingness to learn and advance to higher operator levels as skills and experience grow. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a typical warehouse environment that is comfortable, organized, and well lit, but not climate controlled. Team members work on clearly defined shifts—1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The setting supports general production, inspection, and packaging activities, with an emphasis on maintaining a safe, orderly workspace and using basic tools such as tape measures and standard warehouse equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
