Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Material Wrapper & Banding Handler for 1st shift (6:30pm - 2:30pm) to support our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for preparing products for shipment by wrapping, banding, and securing them in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This role often overlaps with material handling, packaging, and inventory control to ensure that products are properly protected during storage, handling, and transport by applying appropriate wrapping and banding materials, while maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to safety and quality standards. Your efforts will ensure smooth workflow, timely deliveries, and a safe working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our production team while utilizing your driving skills and physical strength.
Key Responsibilities:

Banding Products :
Secure products with appropriate materials (e.g., plastic wrap, shrink wrap, stretch film, or metal bands) to protect against damage during handling and transport Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated areas within the facility.
Equipment Operation :
Operate and maintain wrapping/banding machines, forklifts, and other handling equipment safely and efficiently Load and unload material from trucks, pallets, racks, and storage locations. Operate material-handling equipment (manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, pushcarts; forklift certified). Stage materials for production or shipping according to daily schedules. Maintain accurate counts when transferring materials. Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment. Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris. Perform additional related tasks as needed to support warehouse or production operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items typically up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance). Proficiency with wrapping/banding equipment and forklifts. Attention to detail for accurate inventory and product protection. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and material handling. Ability to work on feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Basic reading and math skills (labels, counts, instructions). Willingness to work in various conditions. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
Work Environment:
A Material Wrapper and Banding Handler plays a critical role in protecting products, ensuring efficient material flow, and supporting smooth operations by combining packaging expertise with material handling skills Fast-paced warehouse or production environment. Involves physical labor and repetitive movement. May involve exposure to varying temperatures, machinery, and noise levels.
Typical Schedule:
Full-time shifts; may include weekends or overtime depending on demand.
