Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to maintain accurate inventory and ensure the seamless supply of materials to production areas. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in forklift operation and inventory management to optimize material flow and support production efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet production goals and maintain high standards of quality. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the facility. Verify the accuracy of incoming material shipments and document any discrepancies. Receive, inspect, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper storage and organization. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies. Accurately document all material movements and transactions in the computer system, ensuring data integrity. Follow daily instructions for picking and supplying materials to production areas, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime. Load and unload materials from trailers and trucks, adhering to safety protocols and maximizing efficiency. Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Qualifications Required Skills Valid forklift license and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation. Proven experience in inventory management and control within a manufacturing environment. Ability to accurately use measuring devices, calculators, and data collection equipment. Proficiency in using computers to access information, process paperwork, and manage inventory data. Preferred Skills Experience operating cranes and other heavy lifting equipment. Familiarity with loading dock procedures and safety regulations. Strong understanding of quality control principles and material inspection techniques.
