Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and shipment of materials and products. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will ensure smooth operations, safety compliance, and timely order fulfillment. Duties Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA standards. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders. Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct regular inspections of equipment Assist in warehouse organization by stacking pallets, managing inventory locations, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace. Support warehouse supervisors in coordinating materials flow, optimizing storage solutions, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting tasks consistently while adhering to proper ergonomic practices for safety. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling. Proficiency operating heavy equipment including forklifts Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy machinery use. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Skilled in shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation accuracy and load/unload activities. Experience with construction or industrial environments is a plus for handling diverse materials safely. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks required during daily operations.
