Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management will ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse systems, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities Safely load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes, adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory and process orders. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, utilizing order picker equipment and pallet jacks. Load and unload materials from trucks efficiently while ensuring proper handling techniques for heavy lifting. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring materials are correctly labeled and stored according to safety standards. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Support warehouse supervisor in inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock levels. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all handling activities to minimize workplace hazards. Collaborate with team members across departments to meet production deadlines and optimize workflow. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling roles. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required. Knowledge of construction or industrial environments is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining safety standards. Pay:
