Material Handler

Job Description:

Material Handler The Material Handler plays a hands-on support role in the daily operations of our warehouse and production environment. This adaptable position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, staging, and storage of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods. The Material Handler works closely with the Packaging Allocator and Warehouse Coordinator, adjusting priorities throughout the day based on immediate needs and shifting workloads. Flexibility and responsiveness are key in helping to keep the workflow moving smoothly across departments. I.

Material Movement & Storage Support Receiving & Staging:

Unload, inspect, and stage incoming materials and packaging. Confirm receipt against documentation and escalate discrepancies. Support warehouse staff with receiving processes during high-volume periods.

Internal Material Handling:

Transfer materials from receiving areas to storage or production staging zones. Deliver materials and packaging to production lines as needed or directed. Return leftover or unused materials to appropriate storage locations.

Inventory & Organization:

Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation. Maintain tidy, clearly labeled, and organized storage areas. Support daily upkeep of staging zones and contribute to general warehouse order. II.

General Production & Shipping Assistance Production Line Support:

Respond to real-time requests from production for materials or supplies. Coordinate with Packaging Allocator to ensure timely delivery of required components.

Shipping & Finished Goods:

Prepare outgoing shipments by staging and wrapping pallets. Assist Warehouse Coordinator with loading finished goods onto trucks as needed.

Material Disposition:

Help with the removal and disposal of production waste (damaged pallets, empty containers, cardboard, etc.). Ensure all disposal activities follow facility safety and cleanliness protocols. III.

Key Qualifications & Attributes Physically Capable:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods. Frequent walking, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.

Reliable & Adaptable:

Comfortable working under shifting priorities and supporting whoever needs assistance most. Attention to

Careful when checking shipments and staging materials to avoid delays or miscounts.

Good Communicator:

Basic Tool Proficiency:

Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts (will train), and spreadsheets is helpful.

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
