The Material Handler plays a crucial role in EMIT's manufacturing facility by ensuring materials are efficiently moved, organized, and supplied to support production processes. This role directly contributes to maintaining workflow continuity, supporting production teams, and ensuring materials are available where and when needed to meet operational demands.Key Accountabilities:
Load raw material into STOPA and Fehr Tower to support production readiness. Stage material for manual machines to ensure operators have the necessary inputs to maintain productivity. Empty scrap bins at workstations to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and clear work areas to eliminate hazards and support safe operations. Support production flow by responding to material needs in a timely and accurate manner. Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are upheld. Follow all established processes for material movement, storage, and handling. Communicate with production teams to align on material priorities and needs.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (certification preferred). Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in material handling and organization. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing production needs. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Basic communication skills to coordinate with production and support teams.Commitment to following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. repeatedly. Stand, walk, and move for the duration of a shift. Always use applicable PPE.
