We are looking for a field coordinator to support our Backflow Prevention department. The chosen candidate will be organized, technically inclined, and comfortable enforcing plumbing codes while building strong working relationships in the field. Key Responsibilities Field liaison supporting our Backflow Prevention Department Coordinator. Maintains consistent communication with plumbers, contractors, and internal staff regarding installation requirements, corrections, and scheduling. Locate underground utilities and identify and operate in ground valve systems. Verify proper installation and placement of backflow prevention devices and assist in identifying potential cross-connections and backflow risks. Communicate and enforce plumbing code regulations with plumbers and customers. Meet regularly with plumbers and contractors to ensure connections comply with local and state regulations. Confirm that installations align with hazard classifications, well versed, and comfortable with the enforcement of plumbing codes. Document inspection findings, including photos, notes, and compliance status, and follow up with plumbers in the event of any non-compliance. Maintain accurate records using company systems, including Microsoft Excel, AquaResource, and GIS mapping tools. Coordinate follow-up visits to confirm that corrective actions have been completed.
Minimum Requirements:
Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification (or ability to obtain within one month of hire) Experience in plumbing systems, utilities, inspections, or field service work required Organized and technically inclined Mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and GIS systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication and interpersonal skills
