Environmental Services Supervisor Your Career, Your Community The City of Salisbury is seeking a qualified individual to oversee programs that protect the wastewater collection system and treatment plants to ensure that all environmental regulations and permit requirements are met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide technical assistance related to the activities of a wastewater laboratory, an industrial pretreatment program, and a FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) program. Serve as Compliance Officer and participate in various State inspections Monitor changes to state and federal regulations, and maintain and update departmental plans, ordinances and SOPs as needed; prepare and manage a budget. Investigate complaints and take corrective action as necessary. Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and considerable experience in wastewater treatment plant or lab operations, or closely related field. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to wastewater collection, treatment and discharge. Valid NC driver's license. Possession of NC Pretreatment Grade 1 and Wastewater Lab Analyst 1 certification, or ability to obtain within 18 months. Possession of NC Biological Wastewater Treatment certification preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
