Committed to innovation, environmental responsibility, and community support, we prioritize creating growth opportunities for our employees and delivering exceptional value and service to our healthcare partners. •This position will be servicing locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island Job Overview We are seeking a highly technical, strategic, and compliance-driven Acute Program Manager to be responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex waste streams, ensuring absolute compliance with environmental, transportation, and healthcare regulations. While a background in both biohazardous waste and hazardous chemical/pharmaceutical waste streams is a plus, we are fully prepared to train the right candidate on all aspects of this role. If you are an exceptional organizer, an effective communicator, and a strong project leader, we will provide you with comprehensive training on medical and hazardous waste compliance, RCRA/DOT regulations, and our proprietary software systems.
Key Responsibilities Audit Readiness & Safety:
Travel regularly to the hospitals and healthcare facilities we service to conduct audits, support daily operations, collaborate with onsite staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across all locations. Maintain robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for waste segregation, packaging, and compatible storage.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., RCRA, DOT, EPA, state and local requirements). Maintain and update required documentation, manifests, and reports. Serve as the primary point of contact during audits, inspections, or regulatory interactions.
Waste Characterization & Profiling:
Oversee the technical process of characterizing, profiling, and coding hazardous waste streams for treatment and disposal, ensuring accurate documentation (e.g., Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests).
Enterprise Onboarding:
Lead the implementation of comprehensive waste programs for healthcare networks, laboratories, and industrial clients, ensuring correct container deployment, software integration, and site-specific training. Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Qualifications Valid Driver's License Must possess a dependable personal vehicle capable of traveling between facilities/client sites as needed Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines Strong customer service orientation Ability to create & prepare reports as necessary
