Required Qualifications:
Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Knowledge of running pickup routes. Experience with handling operating manuals and work orders. Ability to establish a rapport with customers and co-workers. Ability to prioritizing workloads and monitor equipment and vehicles. Preferred Qualifications Ability to operate a compactor and forklift. Ability to perform basic math functions. Ability to lift 40 lbs alone and 80 lbs with help. Job Description This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the university's waste management program by servicing litter control barrels that are located throughout the university grounds. Job Duties Run recycling routes. Pick up of recyclable material on campus including emergency pick-ups. Processing of recyclable material collected on campus. Work special events. Ensures work time is recorded on work orders. Maintain equipment and vehicles that are used on a daily basis. Support and assist recycling and waste management coordinator in program operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
