Job Description

This position coordinates and promotes the Vermont Prevention Lead Organization (VPLO) grant objectives and activities for substance abuse prevention within the Rutland and Addison County Regions. Working with a variety of community agencies, the PLO Coordinator will be instrumental in combining regional resources and agencies to facilitate a community-based approach to collaborate, plan, communicate, implement, and report out on activities and events supported by prevention grant funding. Timely documentation and reporting, in conjunction with grant requirements, are also within the scope of this position. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in public health, prevention or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Work Experience Three to five years of community experience involving public health and preventative program development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation. Required Licenses/Certifications Valid Driver's License. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively across various mediums and audiences. Group facilitation skills. Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies. Ability to network and build cohesive professional relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to participate in required substance abuse prevention skills training programs. Willingness and ability to utilize personal transportation for business purposes. Familiar with needs assessment approaches and principles and measurement of results against goals. Demonstrated resourcefulness & critical thinking skills. Problem solving skills. Basic Microsoft desktop computer application skills.
Pay Range:
$19.97 - $29.09
