Job DescriptionEnvironmental Technician II will be responsible for knowing the location and treatment for inbound waste streams. Environmental Technician II will be able to treat and process waste with onsite equipment. This includes pit mixing, drum pumping, drum dumping, and basic hi-lo and wheel loader skills. Technician must be able to complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and proceduresCollecting samples of inbound waste for compatibilityUnload bulk liquid trucks to proper tankResolve and report issues with inbound loadsOperate hi-lo and end loaders in a safe mannerHave knowledge of our waste streams and their treatment protocol.

Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsBasic Requirements:

 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materialsHigh School Diploma preferredAbility to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jackVisual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forkliftsAbility to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarmsAbility to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditionsWillingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard had, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. 

Preferred Requirements:

High school diplomaExperience in warehouse or manufacturing environmentBasic computer skills to complete web-based trainingAbility to understand and respond to written and verbal EnglishAbility to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours. Must be willing and able to occasionally work nights, weekends and variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
