Hazardous Waste Technician Job Description We are seeking dedicated Hazardous Waste Technicians for our Phoenix, AZ facility. This is a crucial role in our 10-day facility, serving as a holding ground for materials before they are processed further. We offer the opportunity to earn certifications and gain valuable experience in hazardous waste management. Responsibilities Operate a forklift with training provided for those without prior experience. Secure containers by strapping and shrink-wrapping them for safe transportation. Work with various hazardous waste strains, conducting processes such as consolidating containers and sorting waste into correct drums. Load trucks with up to 60 drums, ensuring quality checks for correct counts and labels. Lift materials ranging from 5 to 100 pounds either manually or using a forklift. Offload hazardous waste containers from trucks, palletize, strap, shrink wrap, and prepare clean supplies for the next day's service. Essential Skills Ability to handle chemical inventory and hazardous materials safely. Experience with hazardous waste management and handling. Forklift operation skills are preferred. Ability to work outdoors throughout the year. Reliability and a commitment to long-term employment. Additional Skills & Qualifications 40-hour

Safety gear including steel toe boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and hard hat are provided. The facility operates on a first shift from 4:00am to 12:00pm. Expect to work in outdoor conditions throughout the year. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
