04/08/2026 9:00 a.m. Summary of position To perform a variety of skilled tasks in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the City's wastewater treatment facilities grounds and equipment; to ensure public health and safety; to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Please note:
Highly qualified candidates may be hired as a WW Collections Level I (Range 16), II (Range 17), or III (Range 19). Minimum qualificationsExperience:
None required; however, mechanical background with previous experience in operating and maintaining wastewater collection systems and/or wastewater/water treatment systems is desirable.Education/Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. License or Certificate Possession of, or obtain within one year of hire date, an ADEQ Grade I Wastewater Collections Certificate (required for continued employment) Possession of an Arizona valid driver's license within two months of employment. Qualify for Wastewater Plant Operator I within 18 months of employment. Candidates must possess a driver's license with a clean DMV record over the past three years.
