In this energetic role, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining grease traps and interceptors to ensure optimal operation and prevent costly plumbing issues. Your proactive approach will help food service establishments stay compliant with local regulations while promoting environmental sustainability. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, work outdoors, and contribute to community health. Responsibilities Perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of grease traps and interceptors at various commercial locations. Use specialized equipment to remove accumulated fats, oils, grease, and solids from grease traps and interceptors efficiently and safely. Conduct thorough assessments of each unit's condition, identifying potential issues such as leaks or blockages before they escalate. Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and observations for each site visit. Communicate clearly with clients about service procedures, findings, and recommended follow-up actions to ensure customer satisfaction. Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during service activities to protect yourself and the environment. Assist in troubleshooting minor plumbing or equipment issues when necessary to support overall system health. Qualifications Prior experience in plumbing, waste management, or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and accurate recordkeeping. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to learn safety procedures related to waste handling and environmental compliance.
