Job Description
Company Overview Forever Feed is an innovative agricultural operation specializing in the production of high-quality fodder for dairy cows. We operate in a controlled production environment with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Position Summary The Equipment Operator is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of equipment used in fodder production. This role supports safe, efficient, and consistent production while maintaining quality standards and participating in scheduled maintenance and sanitation programs. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor production and material-handling equipment Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify mechanical or operational issues Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance activities Accurately document production, maintenance, and safety records Follow all safety, sanitation, and biosecurity protocols Communicate equipment, process, or product concerns to supervisors in a timely manner Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to safely operate mechanical or agricultural equipment Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety Preferred Qualifications Experience in agricultural, food, or industrial production environments Familiarity with grain handling systems, pneumatic systems, or conveyors Basic maintenance or electrical knowledge Forklift or heavy equipment operating experience Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in a greenhouse production environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Exposure to noise, dust, moisture, and moving machinery Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range: $16.90-$20 , based on experience Overtime eligibility Health benefits and paid time off (PTO) Training and advancement opportunities within a growing operation Equal Opportunity Employer Forever Feed is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
