Job Overview:
The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Sanitation Technician to work at our food processing facility in Jacksonville, FL! Successful candidates must be willing to supply improvements, suggestions, and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal individuals must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include the sanitation of the total plant environment, both inside and outside the buildings.
  • Routine cleaning of equipment and peripheral areas are part of the overall job responsibilities.
  • Will be accountable for the care and cleaning of all sanitation equipment.
  • Will be accountable for documentation as required by Governmental Regulatory bodies and Kraft Heinz. Will be accountable for the effective and efficient use of supplies and equipment.
  • Green room activities will include use of key measures in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale to track sanitation results.
  • Actively participate in the Idea and Suggestion program for continuous improvement. Will be accountable for daily activities and work standards.
  • Actively participate in the training of new department employees. Expected Experience & Qualifications/Skills Minimum education required:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Basic Math Skills required, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple fractions
  • Pass Basic Computer Skills Assessment
  • Continuing education/training in Sanitation will be provided and is mandatory
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Safety and KSRMP
  • GMP
  • Fork trucks and obtain a License Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and other physical movements required to complete sanitation duties.
  • Must be able to work in tight areas, including confined spaces, while performing assigned job responsibilities.
  • Must be able to remain physically active for extended periods during the shift.
