POSITION SUMMARY
Under regular supervision performs difficult semiskilled work supervising and participating in cleaning and televising of storm water lake to lake and street to lake systems. Performs related work for the Public Works Department Operating Divisions as necessary by directive from the Assistant Public Works Director. Limited supervision is exercised over subordinate semiskilled personnel.

- . Operates pickup trucks, dump trucks, vac/jet trucks, and roll off trucks
- Jets the line for T.V. inspection equipment.
- Assist with storm sewer line repair and maintenance work.
- Assists with locates and other excavation duties as needed.
- Performs routine cleaning of storm sewer lines.
- Hauls roll off dumpster cans for the Public Works Department as needed.
- Operates remote R.O.V. system for storm water pipe, catch basin inspections.
- Cleans trucks and equipment and makes minor repairs.
May be required to work overtime and/or be on call.

Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "B" driver's license, with N (Tanker) endorsement, with no more than six points within a three-year period. Must acquire a Stormwater Class "C" certificate within twenty-four months. Must acquire a Stormwater Class "B" certificate within thirty-six months.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the operation of closed-circuit television equipment including remote operating vehicles, video tape machines, and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment. Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and of necessary safety precautions. Knowledge of basic storm water and procedures of the department as they pertain to the performance of duties. Knowledge of hazards and applicable safety requirements of area of assignment and equipment and machines used. Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of vac/jet truck. Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of roll off truck. Knowledge of basic computer skills in email and data entry. Ability to oversee the work of subordinate personnel. Ability to read and use gravity system maps. Ability to operate power rodding, vac trucks, and related equipment. Ability to operate technical electronic equipment used in flow monitoring. Ability to prepare semi detailed reports. Ability to perform strenuous work under varying weather conditions. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessary by work assignments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including tractors, lawn mowers, welders, rakes, and power and hand tools etc. Must be able to exert up to 80 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are for medium Work.
