In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for implementing pond and lake management strategies that promote ecological balance, control pests, and enhance water quality. Your hands-on approach will help ensure recreational waters remain safe and beautiful for community enjoyment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a variety of tools and machinery, and make a tangible impact on environmental stewardship. Duties Conduct inspections of lakes and ponds to assess water quality, vegetation, and aquatic life health. Implement pest control measures to manage invasive species using appropriate techniques. Operate hand tools, power tools, boats, and other equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, or other treatments to control algae growth or unwanted plant species. Drive company vehicles to various sites while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in installing or repairing pond aeration systems and floating fountains. Effectively communicate to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions.
