Job Description

    Sorter
  • Job Description
  • The Sorter assembles medical kits on a production line, supports fast-paced and repetitive manufacturing tasks, and ensures that finished products are accurately packaged and prepared for shipment. This role involves handling materials, stacking boxes, and maintaining high quality and cleanliness standards in a controlled environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Assemble medical kits on the production line according to established procedures and specifications.
+ Perform repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. + Complete final packaging of materials, ensuring all components are correctly labeled and sealed. + Stack boxes onto pallets in an organized and safe manner for storage or shipment. + Lift and move materials weighing up to 20-40 pounds as part of daily tasks. + Support production activities, including basic machine operation, as needed to maintain workflow. + Assist with packing, picking, and inspection of products to ensure they meet quality standards. + Follow cleanroom and gowning protocols in designated areas to maintain a controlled environment. + Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and timelines. + Receive and apply feedback to continuously improve performance and quality.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and packaging of medical kits.
+ Ability to stand on feet for extended periods during shifts. + Good hand dexterity for handling small parts and performing repetitive assembly tasks. + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment. + Ability to work well with a team and contribute to a collaborative work atmosphere. + Comfort with receiving and applying feedback to improve work quality. + Experience or comfort working in production, assembly line, or packing environments. + Capability to safely lift and move 20-40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in production support, assembly, or machine operating. + Familiarity with working in controlled or regulated environments is an asset.

  • The role is based in a state-of-the-art facility with a cleanroom and controlled production areas.
Team members work in a fast-paced, repetitive manufacturing environment focused on assembling and packaging medical kits. Depending on the room and area, employees wear hair nets, beard nets, nitrile gloves, and gown up to maintain strict cleanliness and safety standards. The workplace includes on-site amenities such as a basketball court, gym/fitness room, and a modernized cafeteria, providing a comfortable and modern environment during breaks and non-production time.
  • Job Type & Location
  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $22.30 - $26.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
