This role is critical to maintaining environmental compliance, supporting production, and ensuring wastewater systems operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Perform daily testing, sampling, and recordkeeping (pH, metals, flow rates, etc.) Add chemicals and adjust treatment processes as required Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance Respond to alarms, system upsets, and operational issues Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of wastewater equipment Communicate issues or concerns to supervision and environmental leadership Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA requirements at all times Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wastewater treatment area
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Wastewater Operator certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Experience in manufacturing, plating, or industrial wastewater treatment preferred Ability to perform basic math, testing, and recordkeeping Strong attention to detail and compliance standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional overtime as needed
Schedule:
2nd Shift Full-time, with occasional overtime based on production needs
