Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Recycling Worker and play a vital role in promoting environmental sustainability through efficient waste management and recycling processes. In this energetic position, you will operate heavy equipment, handle recyclable materials, and maintain cleanliness across our recycling facilities. Your efforts will contribute to a cleaner community and support our commitment to responsible waste disposal. This paid position offers an engaging work environment where safety, teamwork, and environmental impact are at the forefront of every task. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks to sort, load, and transport recyclable materials. Manage the movement of materials within the facility to ensure smooth processing and prevent congestion. Conduct routine cleaning of work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment. Assist with the collection of recyclable waste from designated areas using appropriate equipment. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle bulky or dense recyclable items. Support sanitation efforts by ensuring waste is properly sorted and disposed of according to environmental standards. Conduct safety inspections on equipment before use and report any maintenance needs promptly. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks. Experience with manufacturing or waste management environments is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices related to recycling facilities. Excellent attention to detail when sorting recyclables and maintaining cleanliness standards. Good communication skills for teamwork and safety procedures adherence. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery or handling materials. Join us in making a positive environmental impact!
