Sanitation Technician (3rd shift)

Job Summary:

Will perform regular cleaning of rooms and equipment as required according to Sanitation schedules to ensure facility is ready for next day's production.

Responsibilities:

Will wash down production rooms and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents. Ensure mixers and equipment are cleaned to standards. Utilize floor scrubber. Return tools to proper storage area. Stay informed of safe use for all chemicals and detergents. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school Diploma or G.E.D. Required. Mixing room experience helpful. Previous experience as a porter or sanitation worker preferred. Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs. repeatedly during shift. Work in an environment that is dusty and may contain spices with high heat. Ability to work in an environment with recurrent exposure to chemicals and industrial cleaning products. Ability to operate compactor machines. Able to work 40+ hours per week on feet in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Regular stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending at the waist, reaching, and handling. Walk long distances repeatedly and climb stairs or ladders. Must be able to read and write English. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures. Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
