Job Summary The Portable Restroom Service Technician is responsible for the safe delivery, setup, servicing, cleaning, pickup, and maintenance of portable toilets, restroom trailers, and related equipment at customer sites across Michigan. This hands-on role involves operating a service truck, handling sanitation processes, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Essential Functions (These are the core duties that must be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation): Drive a company service truck (including pump/vacuum trucks) to customer locations to deliver, position, service, and remove portable restroom units, sinks, and trailers. Perform routine servicing of units on-site, including pumping waste tanks, cleaning and sanitizing interiors/exteriors, restocking supplies (toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc.), and deodorizing. Inspect units for damage, perform minor repairs or report issues for maintenance. Load, unload, and maneuver portable units using appropriate equipment Maintain accurate service records, route logs, and customer interaction notes using company systems or tablets. Ensure all work complies with

OSHA/MIOSHA

sanitation standards, DOT driving regulations, and company safety protocols. Practice safe handling of waste and chemicals, using provided personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Interact professionally with customers on-site, addressing questions or concerns courteously. Assist with yard/warehouse duties as needed, such as cleaning returned units or preparing inventory. Participate in required safety training and maintain a clean, organized work vehicle. Qualifications and Requirements Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Chauffeurs License or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire date. Company will provide training and resources to allow new hire to take exam through the Michigan Secretary of State. DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire. Company will provide compensation to obtain card. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in service technician roles, driving, sanitation, or related field preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided). Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical Demands (Essential for job performance): Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50-75 pounds (e.g., hoses, tanks, units). Regularly lift, carry, push or pull up to 180 pounds using mechanical aids such as dollies and hand carts. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching. Prolonged sitting while driving; standing/walking for extended periods during servicing. Exposure to outdoor elements, odors, chemicals with PPE provided and required. Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely. Work Environment Primarily field-based with daily routes in Michigan. May involve early mornings, occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts. Exposure to varying weather, traffic, and construction sites. Strict adherence to safety protocols to minimize risks. Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay starting at $19.00/hour to $27.00/hr (2026 rate), based on experience. Overtime pay at 1.5x regular rate for hours over 40 per week.
