Job Description

Incumbents in this position are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all equipment associated with a bio-solids treatment facility, through monitoring, optimizing equipment, writing work order notifications, and the accurate documentation of records. This position is assigned to pay grade G11. Operate sludge presses and maintain polymer systems, pumps, valves, and controls associated with system. Clean filter presses by removing sludge ad filter cakes. Implement and maintain housekeeping practices to minimize safety hazards and to present a clean, professional image and reports unsafe conditions to management. Collect samples, perform chemical and physical analysis to interpret data for operational control. Performs other related job duties as assigned. In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties. High school diploma or GED. Six (6) months of general work experience is required. Utility or Machinist work experience is preferred.
