Job Description

Champagne Family Dentistry South Meadows is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support the hygiene and sanitation operations, ensuring that all areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for staff, clients, and visitors, particularly in industries such as healthcare, food production, hospitality, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize designated areas, including restrooms, kitchens, workstations, and common spaces. Follow cleaning schedules and hygiene protocols to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards. Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS). Refill hygiene supplies such as soap, sanitizers, paper towels, and toilet paper. Dispose of waste and recyclables properly, ensuring bins are emptied and cleaned regularly. Assist in deep cleaning tasks, including disinfection of high-touch surfaces and equipment. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervisors. Support hygiene audits and inspections by maintaining accurate cleaning records. Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and hygiene policies. Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or hygiene-related roles is an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks.
