RESPONSIBILITIES

Process recyclable materialsSort, separate, and group different materials based on their componentsEnsure hazardous, chemical, and medical materials are disposed of properlyOperate forklifts, wheel/utility loaders, or trucks, to transport materials to designated areasCompress recyclable materials into bundles/bales using balersMaintain a clean and safe work environmentSweep, rake, vacuum, and remove broken glass, paper debris, spills, etc.

Prepare recyclables for shipmentClean, inspect, and lubricate equipment for upkeepDismantle some products and separate their componentsPerform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, or minor repairs on equipmentComply with company policies and regulations and always wear protective gear

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Physical strength to lift heavy materials throughout the dayForklift experience is a plusExperience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plusRequired to stand for long periodsMay involve some repetitive motionsAbility to work in various weather and temperature conditionsEngage in bending, squatting, pushing, and pullingStrong communication and organization skillsAbility to work individually and with a teamSurge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
