Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Waste Management Worker and play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility across our facilities. In this energetic position, you'll operate heavy equipment, manage waste collection processes, and ensure sanitation standards are met with precision and efficiency. Your efforts will directly contribute to a cleaner community and a healthier environment, making every day impactful and rewarding. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to efficiently collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain cleanliness across work sites, including waste bins, loading areas, and surrounding environments. Manage waste sorting processes, ensuring recyclable materials are separated and disposed of properly in accordance with environmental guidelines. Assist with the loading and unloading of waste using appropriate heavy machinery while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct inspections of equipment and work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly. Support the safe handling of heavy lifting tasks by following proper techniques and using suitable equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely waste collection schedules are maintained and operational efficiency is maximized. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Knowledge of manufacturing or sanitation processes is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and waste management activities. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Valid certifications for forklift operation or heavy equipment operation are advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
