Job Description
Summary:
Supervises, coordinates and performs tasks that assist the Logistics team in the keep up of MEI buildings, grounds, and company vehicles. Performs execution, and support functions for the Logistical Coordinator to fulfill the need of the field group by having MEI resources operational and in a constant state of readiness while focusing on troubleshooting nonfunctioning equipment and repairing or replacing. Maintain all equipment required for the upkeep of the grounds (weed eaters, lawn mowers, chainsaws, etc.).Work Schedule:
Tuesday - Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm / Saturday 7:00am to 3:30pmDuties & Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all wash bay activities. Wash exteriors and interiors of company vehicles. Clean various equipment. Clean up Wash bay at the end of each day, everything returned to its proper place, supplies stocked, etc. Keep Logistics Coordinator informed on soap supply in Wash bay. Trash pickup - all trash in shop area, fuel pump areas, mezz areas, and facility area. Clean and sweep mezz area as needed. Clean and sweep washer/dryer area as needed, including dusting/wiping down area. Sweep front porch and around all entryways to MEI building. Refill paper towels and hand cleaner as needed. Sweep by dispatch counter, shake off rugs if needed, sweep and clean area. Every Saturday, assigned employee will check all boxes on MEI site and drain off all water on tarps, sweep off snow if needed. Straighten shelves around roll off liners. Daily maintenance of MEI's building and grounds such as painting, cutting grass, shoveling snow, etc. as needed. Improve the current process's in place to provide better efficiency to all aspects of MEI Support Mezzanine employees schedule to improve present operations Improve the current condition of all equipment from a small mechanical/electrical stand point Work as part of a team to provide the required coverage that will assist the field group in completing their jobs successfully. Provide the needed materials or equipment that personal require that may have been overlooked Maintain and prepare equipment needed for jobs (immediate needs or planned) Inventorying of trucks and trailers according to planned schedule or as a result of use as per Logistical Coordinator Reconciling and restocking equipment from previous day jobs. Have all MEI resources and equipment in a constant state of readiness. Support the Logistical Coordinator with the proper quantities and inventory amounts of materials and supplies to meet the needs of the jobs. Responsible for meeting and continue to meet all DOT mandated physical, and drug and alcohol testing requirements. Reports for all scheduled work shifts before scheduled starting time, and works until scheduled stopping time, as required. Climbs ladders and into and out of trucks, tanks, and various other containers. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any issues with equipment. Maintains MEI's core values. Attend MEI's Saturday safety meetings once every other month if 40 hour trained. Wear and properly use a variety of levels A-D of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection as required. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Reading comprehension skills, math aptitude and mechanical aptitude. Ability to navigate Windows based computer applications. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write clearly. Initiative, self-starter with the ability and desire to learn. Planning and organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work.Required Education, Training, & Experience:
Valid Driver's License. Prefer- Experience in driving a manual transmission and CDL vehicles over 26,000 GVWR. Prefer - Experience with heavy equipment, excavators, skids steers, telehandlers etc.Physical Requirements:
Position involves frequent heights; regular strenuous physical exertion. Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, sitting, talking, and listening. Requires frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, and carrying. Required to have clarity of vision. Frequent ability to properly wear and use respirator equipment and other forms of protective equipment (PPE), including occasional full encapsulation PPE suits which can elevate body temperature substantially during strenuous exertion. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Regular exposure to chemicals. Including but limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.Job Type:
