Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by collecting, sorting, and processing recyclable materials throughout the production facility. Ensures all waste and recyclable materials are properly separated and disposed of according to company and environmental standards. Supports production operations by keeping work areas clear of debris and materials build up.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and transport recyclable materials such as cardboard, plastic, and metal from designated areas. Sort and separate recyclables to ensure proper handling and compliance with company recycling guidelines. Operate balers, compactors, and other recycling equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor recycling containers and remove materials in a timely manner to maintain workflow. Maintain cleanliness and organization in recycling and waste areas. Follow all safety, sanitation, and environmental procedures. Assist production and sanitation teams as needed. Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or spills to supervision immediately.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and strong work ethic. Knowledge of safe material handling practices. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
