Job Description

Overview The Wash Technician is responsible for performing specialized cleaning operations on oilfield vessels, chemical tankers, and various oilfield equipment. This role requires tasks in both field-based washing operations and fixed wash yard procedures, ensuring all equipment meets customer requirements. Duties Perform thorough washing and cleaning of oilfield vessels, chemical tankers, and related equipment Field Operations Travel to field locations to perform on-site washing operations when required Set up mobile washing equipment in various field conditions Adapt washing techniques to different environmental conditions and access limitations Maintain safety protocols in field environments with potential hazards Wash Yard Operations Operate within fixed wash yard facilities following all established procedures Prepare vessels and equipment for cleaning according to standardized protocols Manage waste collection and disposal in compliance with environmental regulations Maintain wash yard equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs Safety & Compliance Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements Follow environmental regulations for wastewater management and chemical handling Complete all required documentation for cleaning operations Participate in safety meetings and training programs Operate high-pressure washing systems, steam cleaners, and chemical application equipment safely and effectively Follow established procedures for different types of vessels and equipment, including tanks, separators, piping systems, and drilling equipment Ensure complete removal of hydrocarbons, chemical residues, and contaminants from all surfaces Qualifications Previous experience in industrial washing, cleaning, or decontamination of oilfield equipment a plus Knowledge of oilfield vessel types and chemical tanker configurations Familiarity with various cleaning agents and their appropriate applications Experience with high-pressure washing systems and related equipment Understanding of safety procedures in potentially hazardous environments Physical Requirements Ability to work in physically demanding conditions including confined spaces Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Willingness to work in various weather conditions Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions Other Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record Willingness to travel to field locations as needed Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends when required Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and minor maintenance
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
