Job Description

General Definition and Conditions of Work:
Physically demanding work involving the collection of solid waste and recycling materials from residential and commercial establishments. Perform skilled and unskilled heavy manual work, while independently applying Town code and safety considerations in the completion of assigned duties.
Education, Experience and Licenses:
Completion of a standard high school course, or equivalent GED program. Minimum of one (1) year experience in an entry level, manual labor position. Any combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Virginia Pesticide Applicator License, Virginia Work Area Protection Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, Virginia Flagging Certification, or the ability to obtain certifications within a year. Valid driver's license. This position will remain open until filled.
