Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Laborer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our water treatment operations. This energetic position involves hands-on work with heavy equipment, mechanical systems, and water treatment processes to ensure the highest standards of wastewater management. You will be an essential part of a dedicated team committed to environmental stewardship and community health, performing a variety of tasks that keep our plant running smoothly and sustainably. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery and equipment used in wastewater treatment, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment, utilizing mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues promptly. Perform plumbing tasks and basic repairs on plant infrastructure to maintain optimal functioning. Support construction activities within the plant site, including installation or upgrade of treatment systems. Conduct inspections of mechanical systems and perform heavy lifting as needed for equipment handling or material movement. Assist with water treatment procedures by managing chemical dosing, filtration, and sediment removal processes. Engage in water sample collection for laboratory analysis to verify compliance with environmental standards. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and data collection logs for reporting purposes. Experience Prior experience working with wastewater treatment or water treatment facilities is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, plumbing, and heavy machinery operation is essential. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in industrial automation is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as tankers or construction machinery. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis are required. Strong analysis skills to interpret operational data and troubleshoot system issues effectively. Experience in construction or maintenance work within industrial or municipal settings is a plus. $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
