Sanitation Technician •

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3rd shift) Temp to Hire opportunity! Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our 3rd shift team. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and facility areas to ensure food safety, product quality, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize kettles, totes, walls, pipes, machinery, and other production equipment. Clean and maintain common areas including lunchrooms, hallways, bathrooms, offices, and other facility areas as needed. Properly disassemble and reassemble production machinery for thorough cleaning and sanitation. Safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals and solvents according to company procedures. Assist with training and mentoring new employees as needed. Collaborate with Shipping, Quality, and Maintenance departments to resolve issues and maintain operational efficiency. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or sanitation problems to supervisors promptly. Adhere to all food safety and quality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior industrial cleaning or sanitation experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Effective problem-solving abilities and professional communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift. Comfortable working in wet environments and around cleaning chemicals. Ability to work overnight hours consistently.
