Full-Time | 1st Shift About the Opportunity A well-established precision manufacturing company in the Milwaukee area is seeking a Buyer/Planner to support production through effective purchasing, scheduling, and supplier coordination. This is a confidential search for a stable, growth-oriented organization known for high-quality machining and long-term employee retention. This role is ideal for someone who understands how procurement and production planning work together-and can keep both running smoothly. What You'll Be Responsible For Plan and release work orders to support production schedulePurchase raw materials, components, and services to meet demand and lead times Maintain optimal inventory levels while avoiding shortages or excess stock Communicate with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time production Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve supply issues Analyze demand, forecasts, and usage trends to improve planning accuracy Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems (orders, lead times, inventory levels) Identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier improvements What You Bring 2-5+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain (manufacturing environment preferred) Experience with ERP or MRP systems Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams Preferred Experience Background in machining, fabrication, or precision manufacturing Understanding of lead times, inventory control, and production scheduling Experience with supplier negotiation or cost analysis Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Stable, full-time 1st shift schedule 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance HSA and life insurance options Paid time off Long-term growth within a stable manufacturing environment How to Apply Submit your resume to be considered.
