Forward Deployed Engineer

Description Astrana is building a small, high-impact team of engineers whose job is simple: find meaningful problems across the organization and use technology to solve them. Sometimes that means deploying existing tools more effectively. More often it means sitting with the people who run our markets, understanding how the work actually gets done, and building entirely new tools, automations, and applications that do not exist yet. We are not looking for pedigree. We are looking for builders. People who are naturally curious, love experimenting with new technologies, and get energized by solving hard, messy problems. The right person for this role is someone who is a little obsessed with learning and building — the type who goes down rabbit holes late at night because they genuinely want to understand how something works or how it could be better. You will work directly alongside operators, clinicians, and business leaders to explore problems, prototype solutions quickly, and turn ideas into real tools that improve how we work and deliver care. What you build will not sit in a staging environment. It will be used by the people sitting next to you, the week you ship it.

The office location can either be in Monterey Park or Orange County, CA. The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $100,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
