Job Description

Overview Do you want to build an impactful career to change the world for the better? Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a part-time (10 hours/week) High School Engineering Intern in our San Diego-Old Town, California office. The position offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations in support of a variety of project delivery needs including contaminated site investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, and remedial system design. The position is part-time (10 hours/week) for approximately 10 to 14 weeks during the summer of 2026. Candidates are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the office. Our clients ask us to address their new ventures and most challenging problems involving the environment, natural resources, and civil infrastructure. Learn more by visiting www.geosyntec.com Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools; Assist in report and proposal preparation; Data input and analyses; Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel; and Develop an understanding of the consulting profession. Assist with office and field equipment organization, and equipment calibration. Education and Licensure Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in a local area high school. (required) Interest in environmental sciences Written authorization to work as required under state laws depending on age. (required) Skills, Experience and Qualifications Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills. (required) This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum:
$22.98/hour /
Maximum:
