Job Description
We are seeking motivated Communications Technician I professionals to support large‑scale data center build projects. This is a hands‑on role ideal for technicians who enjoy structured work, learning new technologies, and being part of a fast‑growing infrastructure environment. You'll work alongside experienced technicians installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems in new construction data center facilities. What You'll Be Doing Install and terminate structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6 and fiber) Assist with rack installation, rack & stack, ladder rack, and cable tray work Perform basic cable testing and troubleshooting under supervision Help build and organize IDF/MDF rooms Label cables and patch panels following project standards Maintain clean, well‑dressed cabling and work areas Follow all safety, quality, and site procedures Support project teams in meeting daily install goals Required Skills & Experience Experience with structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6) Exposure to fiber cabling (pulling, basic handling; splicing a plus but not required) Ability to use hand tools and cabling tools Comfortable working on ladders and lifts Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
