CAD Drafter

Expert in AutoCAD 3D &/or AutoCAD Inventor required. Basic understanding of FEA Software in Inventor or AutoCAD Familiar with piping, valves, fittings, hangers, gaskets, fluid pumping systems, structural supports, skids, hardware, pneumatic systems, tanks, etc... Capable of Producing large Assembly Models and Detailed Fabrication Sets Capable of generating, modifying, understanding 2D P&IDS Capable of drawing 3D designs and turning them into 2D P&ID drawings Develops conceptual designs and layouts and transitions them into Production and/or As-Built Designs with supplied feedback and commentary Familiar with common welding, fabricating, and assembly techniques, procedures, & symbols Familiar with basic structural calculations on I-Beam stand systems using FEA Software Familiar with basic hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing Familiar with B31.1 and B31.3 Welding Code Familiar with Stainless Steel Corrosion Service and Coated Steel Corrosion Service in terms of Design and Fabrication Inspects fabricated components for QA/QC and develops written reports for deviations or adherence to supplied specifications Ability to work independently on multiple assignments with varying deadlines Ability to develop and write detailed specifications, solicit proposals, bids, and estimates for designed systems or components Ability to develop written estimates regarding production time lines and costs for developed designs May require occasional overnight travel to supervise assembly or installation of fabricated components or to research site conditions and determine requirements for fabricated solutions
