JOB DETAILS

Our Culinary Team Members at Outpost serve a pinnacle role in the café from leading food quality control, to offering warm hospitality, and setting an example of exemplary customer service to other employees. As a member of our culinary team, you'll be working directly with seasonal produce, both local and regional, with an eclectic and fun menu that is constantly evolving. A positive attitude is encouraged. This role demands that you keep a clean and organized workspace not only as a representation of the product we are serving, but also to maintain a welcoming environment for guests and coworkers. A culinary lead position is also available. Pay for this position can be salary or hourly. Hourly $24

• 27/hour or $45,000
• $55,000 per year salary plus PTO & health insurance. Salaried employees may be asked to work up to 50 hours per week. Your specific job duties and expectations are outlined below: 6
• 10 hr shift on your feet Lifting weight up to 50lbs Executing and following recipes daily, tasting sauces and prepared food and adjusting as necessary Maintaining cleanliness of your workspace Maintaining cleanliness of the prep area, dish area, walk-in coolers, shared work spaces Preparing food to quality standards in a timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS & CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESS

Previous hospitality experience preferred, but no experience is required if you have an enthusiasm to learn and ambition to grow. Must be able to comply with all health and safety standards. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and communicate instructions clearly. Thinks clearly, quickly, and maintains concentration during high pressure situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, standing up 8+ hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. COMPENSATION

Compensation for this role is $20-26/hour (commensurate with experience).
