Job Description
CAGE CASHIER SUMMARY
Responsible for operation of an efficient and accountable booth. This position requires the Cage Cashier to be familiar with vault and change duties and requirements. This position requires individuals to have good math and exceptional guest service skills. Provides consistent, courteous service to all guests, ensuring an optimal level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Effectively and accurately, input data into the tracking system, which includes guest information, pre-made and pre-numbered coupons, match plays, certificates, advertising coupons and entry tickets. Cage Cashier/Player Services Representatives will answer questions about the property in a positive and complimentary manner. Provide information about club programs, daily promotions, and events to guests.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguarding of Casino assets.
- Provide exceptional guest service.
- Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner.
- Provides guest service through exchange of coin, currency, casino coupons, Ditronics check cashing services, Ditronics Cash Advance services, TiTo redemption, etc.
- Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
- Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
- Initiates and verifies all exchanges to and from the Vault for own booth in a timely manner.
- Reviews, verifies, and issues monies on all Jackpot transactions.
- Follows all procedures for Cage operation as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Follow key control procedures.
- Responsible for AM Drop verification when assigned.
- Notifies Cash Operations Manager of inventory levels that need to be restocked.
- Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the property, as well as special events in order to advise guests whenever possible.
- Responds to guests' requests, complaints or inquiries courteously and promptly.
- Possesses a working knowledge of area, package plans, special features, hours of operation and all outlets.
- Assist with promotions and special events as necessary.
- Provide information to guests about club programs, promotions and events, food operations, and lodge packages.
- Prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Responsible for redeeming all coupons, downloading promotional play, sorting redeemed coupon(s), making new and duplicate players club cards, updating guests accounts, and updating guests accounts, and updating addresses for mailings.
- Entering and removing all memos archiving duplicate accounts and deceased players when notified by family members.
- Responsible for daily drawings and drawings during special events.
- Maintain vigilance for possible "scammers" during promotions and prize drawings. Reporting suspicious activity to Casino Shift Manager, Marketing Supervisor, Marketing Director, Cash Operations Manager, Security, and Surveillance. Documenting All suspicious activity.
- Checking updated ban list for any customers under a promotional ban.
- Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must submit to and pass drug test upon hire or at random per SGEC Employee Handbook.
- Take and pass a Title 31 compliance test within 30 days of hire.
- Be able to pass a Background Investigation.
- Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.
- Must be able to interact well with the public and co-workers.
- Strong math and counting skills.
- Computer learning ability.
- Ability to follow precise procedures.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, with extreme attention to detail.
- Must be able to physically perform all aspects of the position i.e., stand for long periods.
- Native American preference is granted according to
P.L. 93-638.
