Calf Feeder and Farm Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and diligent Calf Feeder and Farm Assistant to join our family dairy farm. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have attention to detail, and a passion for animal husbandry. You will be responsible for feeding and caring for calves, assisting with farm chores in the milking barn, and maintaining equipment to ensure a productive and safe environment for both animals and staff. Shift will be approximately from 3pm-630pm. More hours could be available depending on the season and potential to turn into a full time position over time. Responsibilities Feed and monitor calves during the evening feeding ensuring to follow farm protocols Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning pens, administering medications, and observing animal health Assisting collecting cows in our milking barn and caring for our maternity cows Support with general farm chores as needed Supervise or assist with other farm staff in daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and animal safety Qualifications Prior experience in animal care or farming environments is preferred; familiarity with animal handling is a plus but not required Passion for working and caring for animals Ability to work out doors in all weather conditions Willingness to work every other weekend Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills; ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Join our team if you're eager to contribute to a thriving farm environment where your skills in animal husbandry will make a real impact.
