Experience 0 - 1 year Mission Statement The mission of Camp Mowglis is to develop integrity, empathy, resilience, and leadership in young men through the time-tested and fun outdoor experiential program and community we call The School of The Open. Program Goals To provide a safe, fun, and wholesome environment To promote exploration, participation, and confidence To promote goal setting and skill development To encourage cooperation, respect, and community building To build strong character and values Responsibilities Camp is a non-stop, high paced, extremely fun environment. You will be required to do many tasks each day. Living in and supervising dorms means, for instance, waking up and folding your sheets and blankets just like the campers do, the expectation is for you to lead by example. The following is a list of some basic camp responsibilities: Run one of the various camp activities Teach up to four instructional periods a day 4-5 days a week Create a safe learning and living environment Be an active participant during dorm chores Be prepared to give a one-hour long evening presentation at the campfire circle Promote safety, health and welfare of each person in the Mowglis community Co-Lead day hikes Be an active member of camp when you're not leading an activity. Dorm Coverage is the most demanding camp duty, and a requirement for all Senior Staff How To Apply We are looking for camping skills istructors, trip leaders, tennis instrustor, riflery instructor, sailing instructor and swimming instructor.
