In this role, you will lead activities, foster positive behavior, and support early childhood development through fun and educational experiences. Your energy and compassion will inspire young minds, ensuring each child feels valued, supported, and excited to learn and grow during their day at camp. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in childcare, teaching, and youth engagement. Duties Supervise children in a daycare or camp setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Provide basic first aid when necessary and communicate with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns Support children with special needs by implementing individualized plans in collaboration with specialists or educators Lead sports, arts, theater, recreational activities, and field trips to encourage physical activity and artistic expression Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, camp, babysitting, tutoring, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Experience with special education or working with children with special needs is a plus Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members Passion for working with kids and fostering a positive learning environment Join us to make a difference in children's lives through energetic leadership and compassionate care!
