About Property:

Deer Haven Campground, part of Cooperstown All Star Village, offers a family-friendly camping experience for guests visiting the area for youth baseball tournaments. The campground features RV sites, cabins, and amenities designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay in a scenic outdoor setting.

Position Summary:

The Campground Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of Deer Haven Campground by assisting with maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service. This hands-on role works closely with the Campground Manager to ensure the property is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for all guests throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day campground operations Clean and prepare cabins, bathhouses, and common areas for guest arrivals Support turnover operations on check-in/check-out days Perform routine groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks Monitor property conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns Assist with basic repairs and upkeep as needed Restock supplies and maintain organized storage areas Provide friendly and responsive guest service, assisting with questions or concerns Support seasonal opening and closing of the campground Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Flexible schedule, including weekends and peak operational periods

Preferred:

Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, housekeeping, or hospitality Basic knowledge of tools and general maintenance practices Customer service experience Working Conditions /

Special Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods Primarily outdoor work in a fast-paced campground environment Schedule varies based on business needs, with increased demand during tournament weeks #CASV #twparttime
