In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes growth, independence, and well-being. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those in your care through attentive caregiving, engaging activities, and personalized support. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in early childhood education and caregiving. Duties Assist children and individuals with disabilities with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and early learning. Provide safe and engaging toddler and infant care, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met. Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social skills. Support classroom or daycare routines by organizing activities, supervising playtime, and maintaining a clean environment. Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns. Skills Proven experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies to foster positive growth. Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs. Excellent teaching skills with the ability to create engaging learning experiences. Familiarity with classroom experience or daycare operations is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain if necessary.
